Mostly Harmless has been featured here before for their amazing vinyl customs, but work this great deserves another shout out, and there is no shortage of new product being made available in the Don't Panic Store.
First you may notice the prevalent undead theme (I'm not complaining), like with these adorable face munching Androids, which are made to order.
Then you'll see there are a number of other platforms and styles represented, from the obligate Dunnys and Munnys to BUDS, even some Unicornos. For the serious collector, there's this undead 10" MadL for a cool $150. Not a bad deal at all, in fact all of the prices are quite reasonable for such face-melting works of art.
Keep watch on Mostly Harmless on Facebook or DeviantArt and snag something nice for your own shelf this holiday season. You deserve it!

I was just asked by another blogger if I am going to be carrying these Dead Toy Soldiers by Ron English and Garage Works... initially I said no, because they make me sad and depressed about the loss of our troops overseas. I am personally against all wars we are currently conducting on foreign soil. I disagree fundamentally with the motivations behind all of those wars. I believe deep in my soul that all the geopolitical reasons the politicians give us to justify the wars are facades for our real motivation: poppy fields in Afghanistan (heroin) and oil fields in Iraq. In other words, money. I am deeply troubled by the deaths of American soldiers, and the citizens of all of those countries, that have occurred during my lifetime.
But then I realized that this type of collectible is indeed thought-provoking, and got me to think about these issues once again today. And as we all know, Ron English is a master at creating collectibles that force you to take sides, discuss, argue, disagree, emote... and in that sense these figures are very successful.
But I still struggle with selling an item like this- would that make me a bad person? Would that mean I am glorifying the deaths of American troops, or would it mean that I am trying to shed a light on hot-button issues that are poignant and relevant?
What's everyone think? Leave a comment!

Tokidoki recently released a new Unicorno mini series. It is equally delightful and as fun to look at as the first Unicorno series. Tokidoki never fails to please with their adorable and original designs. There are a lot of muted tones in this series which contradicts a bit with the rest of Tokidoki's work. But even though some pieces don't have a lot of colour they nonetheless pop and the series still shines. These pleasant creatures stand at two inches tall and are available for eight dollars in the Tokidoki shop. I'm dying to get my hands on the super cute Day of the Dead looking unicorn. After all a Tokidoki toy can brighten up anyone's collection, let alone day.

Following UK artist Jon Paul Kaiser's custom Star Wars themed show, A New Hope (originally posted about here), Yoyamart has put up 50 of the remaining customs for sale online. These primarily black and white customs, range in price from $200 for a 5" custom, to $2250 for a huge 16" custom. Jon Paul Kaiser is best known for his meticulously detailed black and white style, although he does dabble in color once in awhile. Some of the small little details on these customs are amazing and somewhat mind boggling. I've had the honor of seeing Jon Paul Kaiser draw on small 3" dunnys
while I was in the UK, he definitely has steady hands. These customs won't last long once word spreads, so don't hesitate and pick up one or more of these awesome JPK customs. Here are a few of my favorites.

Individually priced at $6 each and available in 10 Monster Kolor's famous bright colors: black, white, red, blue, purple, yellow, green, purple, pink & silver. These markers feature a 2mm interchangeable tip, with a fine tip available for $1.

London based artist Paulo Mendes, aka Zukaty Toyz, has been putting in some studio time as of late. Zukaty is going to be releasing a dozen new customs with a price range of $55-75 plus shipping. Keep in mind that he is in London. Owning a few of Zukaty's customs myself, I really like the bold colorful pieces. The sculpted pieces look awesome as well and appear to have clean blending, which I really like. Overall, great attention to detail on all of the pieces. These customs are going to be available Wednesday, December 5th. Release time based on location: London 10PM; NY 5PM; LA 2PM. If you have your eye on one of these great customs, make sure to go to Zukaty's Storenvy and pick one up. While you are there, check out some of the other customs in the store, you might find something else you like.

We have quite a few of the super-popular Series 3 Androids available as open-box (meaning, we've identified which figure is inside the blind box). We offer reasonable prices on these open-box figures, which probably pisses off other retailers, and certainly the flippers on eBay.
We have more blind box cases in stock as well so if you don't see the Droid you're looking for, email us. We just might set aside the one you want next time we open up some blinds.

Case Studyo has the pleasure to announce the release of a new limited edition sculpture by Friends With You, the fine art collaborative of Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandoval III.
This new object is called ‘Little Buddy’, a guardian and magical dreamer bursting with ideas and inspiration. Sam & Tury suggest you put him close to your bed for the ultimate subconcious adventures. They offer this amulet as a power object, if you take care of it and watch over him, he will reflect your gestures and offer peace and love. The more energy you give him, the more he will charge your life with magic potency.
FriendsWithYou’s mission is to affect world culture by cultivating special moments of spiritual awareness and powerful, joyous interaction. Many of their works reference to toys because they are meant for play, a tool for unstructured free association and interaction. Their sculptures and paintings, inflatables and objects are meant to trigger the buried, neglected urges and yearnings that a seasoned art viewer may not expect to have activated; playfulness, laughter and inquisitiveness, with an end result of feeling connected. Influenced by the simple happiness found in everyday life, FriendsWithYou’s work is designed to be accessible to all.
This shiny gold glazed porcelain object (16x16 cm / 6.2x6.2 inch) is made in an edition of 25 pieces and comes in a silkscreened wooden box, with a signed and numbered certificate by FriendsWithYou.
Case Studyo apparently has no online shop, so you have to use their contact form to contact them if you want to buy one of these.

POST-IT SHOW 8 is going to be opening at the Giant Robot Gallery in Los Angeles December 8. Running until December 16th, this one week show is going to have over 2000 Post-Its featuring over 260 artists. Each piece is going to sell for only $25 cash and carry, on a first come, first serve basis. I imagine that this means you take home whatever you purchase. It is also likely, that a patron will only be allowed a max of 1 Post-It per artist, to allow sharing, with no limit on the number of Post-Its purchased. This will allow more people to enjoy all the artists work. A few teasers are posted below.
Colorful Post-Its by Audrey Kawasaki |
Post-It by Kano |
Sculpted Ghost Girl on Post-It by J-Ryu |
As the show approaches closer, teasers are sure to continue to be shown throughout the week. Be sure to head on over to the Giant Robot Gallery early on December 8th, if you want a better chance at picking up a Post-It by one or more of your favorite artists.

The latest custom BODE BROAD from DeeTen. Seems that he is on fire with all these amazing custom lately!!!
"Atlantean Relic, Circa ???"
During the Expedition of 1886
into the parallel universe our explorers were led on a tour of their Thirteen
Great Cities. One of these cities was Titan, the famed underwater city. Located
in the center of the largest ocean Titan is one the hardest cities to reach
aside from the floating city, New Alexandria. This Atlantean Relic, along with numerous
similar pieces, was discovered submerged near the outer reaches of Titans
border. Our explorers were shocked to discover the city of Atlantis had existed
in this alternate reality as well as their own. As we shared our stories of
Atlantis with theirs there were many similarities. The most prominent being both
vanished and no longer exists. Titan has been excavating underwater sites for
years trying to find the possible location of the ancient city. The most
plausible location brought on the discovery of these relics. Thousands of these
female statues have been recovered in one extremely large area and all on cliff
edges. When the seafloor was mapped with all their locations it formed a
circular outline roughly the size of a large city surrounding a crater. When
these were gathered some were damaged, revealing machinery inside their bodies.
After examination, the machinery was similar to their modern day technologies.
The statue however dated thousands of years earlier. This has led them to believe
Atlantis was the First Great City from which all other cities followed. The use
of a mechanical statue seems useless; perhaps they were an ancient form of
sensor? Or perhaps a silly luxury? Their circular formation around the crater brought upon many conspiracy
rumors as well. Many questions arose during the expedition's stop at the
Underwater City of Titan.

An excellent use for this Ryniak Dunny...
His name is First Melt. A 3" Dunny that was brought to life with
the magic powers of children's laughter. Unfortunately for this guy he
is suffering the same fate as the recent snow fall. Not even as day
later he is melting, the first melt of the season. First Melt is now available for $50 shipped in the US. Email me at walshjt21@gmail.com if interested.
