COOL SHIT AT SDCC: Kid Ink Twitter Scavenger Hunt with Swag Pack Prizes

by
Look for Kris, who will be wearing his Kid Ink Alchemy shirt (above)
This year, Kris Dulfer of Kid Ink Industries will be attending SDCC, laden with Swag Packs to give out to YOU! Each Swag Pack will contain a hand-poured Kid Ink resin skull keychain in a variety of colors, a sticker pack which includes several stickers, including the Tenacious Dog sticker, and maybe if you're really lucky, Kris will give you an original sketch.

How do you score a Swag Pack? Glad you asked! We'll be communicating with Kris throughout SDCC and we will tweet his location from the Tenacious Toys Twitter account. All ya gotta do is follow us, read our tweets, and go find Kris at the appointed locations. Tell him you saw my tweet and he'll hand you your Swag Pack. Pretty rad, right? Doesn't get much easier than that.

Kris will be easy to find because he'll be wearing his black Kid Ink Industries Alchemy symbol shirt, pictured above.

BUT, the awesomeness doesn't end there!
If you purchase any of Kris Dulfer's custom Mecha Tanks (one of which is pictured above) from our website during SDCC, Kris will personally hand you one of his extremely limited-edition Alchemy t-shirts, as a thank you for your purchase! Buy the custom, email me to tell me you're at SDCC and I'll pass the info to Kris. Then I'll get him to find you.

COOL SHIT AT SDCC: JellyMussel plushes by JellyFace

by
The new JellyMussel plushies will be revealed at DKE Toys booth #4728. JellyMussels come in 4 sizes: from the XXL to the pocket size (from 25 to 6 inches long). The email JellyFace sent us said "Please stop by and say hello..." which is quite vague. Will these new plushes be SOLD at the DKE Toys booth? I sure hope so. It's be nuts to roll up with new plushes and not sell some... DKE is a distributor so at the very least, the JellyMussels will be available to retailers after SDCC.

If you pollute the sea, watch your back! JellyMussel might bite your ....

Character bio:
Do you hear a murmur from the seabed? A whisper? Some JellyMussel are gathering, coming from all over the ocean … JellyMussel are enraged at the polluted ocean and they are going to get a revenge! A revenge with no half measures. Be careful, they are watching you!

COOL SHIT AT SDCC: Scott Tolleson Booth 4836

by

Scott Tolleson will be putting on a big show at SDCC this year. His booth # is 4836. He'll be debuting his new Lyle Bean plushes, a custom Android series, a third colorway of his awesome Otis and Otto figure sets, the 5" Uncle Argh Mini Qee by Toy2R, and much more! Definitely a booth to hit.

Scott is a cool guy. He just sent me a care package with a toy in it (for me) and some buttons (for you, since I'm a needlephobe). I'm giving away the button packs (2 packs of 5 Scott Tolleson buttons each) pictured below- one each to 2 lucky winners- via a Twitter giveaway:
All ya gotta do to enter is copy the text below and tweet it out to your followers:

I want to win a @MrScottTolleson button pack from @tenacioustoys! #TollesonButtons http://yfrog.com/kjwvgbpj Pls RT!

On Monday morning I'll use Tweetdeck to see who tweeted that, and I'll use Random.org's random number generator to pick 2 lucky winners! You HAVE to be following both us (@tenacioustoys) and Scott Tolleson (@MrScottTolleson) to win, since I'll be DMing you for your shipping address!

COOL SHIT AT SDCC: Tupac Cat by Jay222

by
Sculptor & painter Jay222 created a 75-piece run of Alex Pardee's "Tupac Cat" character for the Zerofriends booth (#5502) at SDCC. No two are alike, meaning you'll get a completely unique piece. This also means Jay has been worked to the bone and he's probably dead now, or at least has carpal tunnel. Way to go, Alex.

Here's the full details of this release, stolen directly from Alex Pardee's blog:
"IT'S TUPAC CAT, BITCH!" Sculpted & Designed by maniac JAY 222 (who sculpted my MOLAR BEAR, and who will be floating around the convention also so hunt him down), this fun rendition of my TUPAC CAT Character is available in 75 COMPLETELY UNIQUE, DIFFERENT, HAND PAINTED & EMBELLISHED VARIATIONS! No 2 are alike. Some are magical some are gangster, and some are downright SCARY (see the ZOMBIE one in that photo??). Make sure you come around the booth a few times throughout the convention as we will only be putting out a handful of these a day! And as a special bonus, anyone that buys one of these rare gems will get a FREE mini-book by ME and my good friend PHOTOSHOP featuring the adventures of Tupac Cat!
LIMITED TO 75, $70.00 EACH + FREE Mini Book!

SDCC Preview: Titanium the Robot by Tony Montalvo

by
Tony “Titanium” Montalvo, Sculptor of Keithing's Myth Warriors and the Snackz zipper pull line introduces his new creation... "TITANIUM the Robot"!!! He’s the muscle and the heart behind the whole Titanium toyz line, where Tony designs the Toyz, and TITANIUM builds them! He’s the robot with the heart of titanium, which is an unbreakable metal!

Tony built TITANIUM the way Frankenstein was built, taking parts from other robots and piecing them together... and it's pretty obvious that Iron Man was an inspiration for this figure! He stands a whopping 12" tall, is all hand casted and painted by Tony “Titanium” Montalvo, and the really cool thing about these is that the eyes and chest plate are glow in the dark.

This figure will make his debut at SDCC 2011 via ToyQube's booth #4934 in the three colorways, limited to 4 of each and they are priced at $125 each.

Tenacious Toys Exclusive Blue Greads by Brian Ahlbeck

by
LYS0L just finished a small run of 8 special, Tenacious Toys Exclusive blue-tint Greads with pearlescent spray. I love LYS0L's Greads, and when I saw that he was testing out different color ideas and putting the images up on his Twitter, I thought it might be a good time to ask him to do a run just for us.

Release date for our exclusive Greads will be this Saturday, July 16th at 5PM EST.
Look for them in our Exclusives Section for $15 each. A freaking STEAL for exclusive, handcrafted, handpainted resin. Don't sleep on these!

(No, our blue Greads don't actually glow on their own... this is a fancy shot in a dark studio by LYS0L, using a light source that lights up the tinted resin. Cool shot though!)
